The next birthday is for my Granddaughter Neve, and we are planing to give her a puppet show set, that is five hand puppets with a little stage that has a set of curtains , we all hope that she will enjoy this present.

This week was my Grandson Liams birthday. He has just turned 4 years old and was given a stationary steam engine from all of us. This is a real steam engine which runs with a metelated spirt fire that boils water in a copper boiler and drives a piston and crank to turn a flywheel.Of all the toys he was given, this is the one that has given him the most pleasure. All his friends were given a demostration of how the engine runs. This was definatly the very best present we could have given him. I think that he will always remember his FOUR YEAR OLD BIRTHDAY!

It was a real treat to have Kirsty help me with my blog. She is a very special young lady with a wonderful future ahead of her. Kirsty shows all the qualities of someone that will go far in life and make a success of her career. Thank you to Kirsty for very special weeks in the Senior Citizens project and for helping me with my blog.

Hi my name is Rod,and I am a Christian interesred in MGM movies, Walt Disney, Vitage and Dinky cars, old collector toys, and live steam garden Railways. I have just recently published a book titled " Symphony of Puppets" which is about my 20 years work at the South African Television network. Mrs Beal the computer teacher at Fish Hoek Primary School is helping me do this blog. the children also baked biscuits and made tea for us! My granddaughter Caitlom was part of the class, but my blogging partner was Kirdup, one of Caitlom's friends.
